A holiday at La Mouy begins with a feeling many guests recognise straight away: the sense of being able to put your bags down, breathe, and let everyday life go quiet for a while.
Made for long summer days with family and friends, La Mouy welcomes up to eight guests in four beautiful, air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The house is spacious and calm, with wonderfully comfortable beds, light-filled rooms, and the kind of quiet that allows everyone to properly rest. Even during the hottest nights of summer, cool bedrooms and quiet surroundings make it easy to sleep well and wake up refreshed.
There is a warmth to life here that feels both uplifting and deeply relaxing. Children and dogs can play safely in the fully fenced garden, while adults settle into the gentle rhythm of the day - coffee in the morning sun, long lunches, afternoons by the pool, and evenings that begin with a drink in hand and drift effortlessly towards dinner. The pool house becomes a natural gathering place, full of shade, conversation, and the simple pleasure of being together.
La Mouy also has a way of bringing people back to themselves. There is space to think here, to read, to talk, to work if needed, and sometimes to feel a spark return. One guest recently spent his mornings working in the shade of the pool house, and told us it was the first time in several years that he had felt his creativity come back. When the heat rose, he simply put down his laptop, took a few steps, and slipped into the pool.
As evening falls, the valley below glows softly and the sky opens wide above you. On clear nights, the stars seem endless, with the Milky Way stretched overhead. Far from the stress and demands of everyday life, La Mouy offers space to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy one another in a deeper, more meaningful way - with the rare feeling of being truly on holiday, and of returning home with lasting memories.

Wine tasting
If you want to taste and learn about Bergerac wines without driving, we can arrange for our wine expert to come to La Mouy and give you a fantastic wine-tasting session.
Internet
The whole house, pool area and pool house have free fast Wi-Fi by optic fiber connection.
Air conditioning
All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning to ensure a good night sleep even on the hottest of summer nights.
EV charging point
There are two fast charging points (22kW; type 2 connector) for electric vehicles 200 meters from La Mouy. You pay via the Mobive mobile app or directly at paynow.mobive.fr
Heating
La Mouy has a reversible heating system keeping the house warm and cosy in the chilly season. There is a large wood burning stove in the living room and we provide firewood.
Toiletries
You’ll find toiletries from The White Company's "Noir" range in the bathrooms (hand soap, hand and body lotion, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner) and in the kitchen (cleansing hand soap and hand lotion).
Bed linen & towels
There are duvets and pillows in all bedrooms, and we provide bed linen, bathroom towels and pool towels.
Young children
We provide two travel cots with mattresses and bed linen, two high chairs in the kitchen, children’s cutlery, plates and bowls, books, toys, indoor and outdoor games.
Swimming pool
The private heated pool measures 12 x 4 meters. It is open from beginning of April to the end of October.
Television
The living room hosts a comfy seating area with a large flat screen smart TV that has French and international channels and streaming apps.
Equipment
In the house you’ll find filter coffee machine, Nespresso machine, Ninja multi-cooker, Bluetooth speaker, iron, ironing board, washing machine, dryer, vacuum cleaner. Each bathroom has hairdryer and towel heater.
Cleaning products
We provide dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid, detergents, bin bags, loo paper, kitchen paper and other cleaning products.
End-of-stay cleaning
When you depart, please leave the house as you wish to find it when you arrive.
Smoking
Sorry, no smoking is permitted in the house.
Barbecue
A large gas barbecue is available next to the outdoor dining area on the terrace. We provide gas.
Advice & information
Your hosts live on-site in a separate building, and are on hand with advice on where to go and what to do during your holiday.
Arrival & departure
La Mouy will be available to you from 4.00 p.m. on the day of your arrival until 10.00 a.m. on the day of your departure.
Groceries
Our closest town, Le Bugue, is only 13 minutes drive away. Here you find supermarkets, bakeries, delicatessen shops and a wine shop with experienced staff.
Books & games
The entertainment cupboard in the living room has plenty of books, games, puzzles and colouring books.
Parking
We provide free private parking next to the main entrance of La Mouy.
Garden fence
La Mouy's garden is fully fenced and children and pets can play safely.
Pets
Pets are welcome by prior arrangement, please let us know the breed and age. We ask that you clear up after your pet, and that it doesn’t go on upholstered furniture or in the swimming pool.
Accessibility
La Mouy is an old farm with steps and level differences.
The kitchen and the two downstairs bedrooms (bedrooms 1 & 2) are accessible through wide French doors for guests who are less mobile. Outside there is a large terrace that is accessible through all the downstairs doors (there is a step down).
The two upstairs bedrooms and the living room are reached by a u-shaped staircase.
Outside the property there is a large, graveled guest parking. The entrance to the guesthouse is through a wide wooden gate at the bottom of the parking (there is a La Mouy welcome sign next to the door). Three steps lead from the gate on to the terrace and the main entrance (the middle door).
The garden is reached from the terrace by five steps, and the pool area is 5 steps up from the garden. The pool has four internal steps (the first one is extra wide for guests to sit on in the water) which run the width of the pool, but there are no handrails.
